Intention & Intuition

We will gather in a circle first to rest, settling our nervous systems into a calmer, more grounded state. Settling into our bodies like this facilitates a shift from the rational, linear, cerebral orientation that our culture has demanded from us, into an intuitive, non-linear, somatic awareness. I have found that artistic expressions flow more freely when we are more somatically aware; analysis and planning tend to hinder the creative flow state where unexpected artistry arises.

Over many years, I have found that art leads me home to myself. I practice art as a form of gnosis; by entering into a creative state of flow, I am able to tap deeply into my intuition and let a force greater than my human ego out to play. Because I find these states of creative flow so rewarding, I love to offer and hold spaces for other people where they may leave aside mundane concerns and their planning, rational mind, and be free to play again.

2:20 – 2:30 introduction to materials and techniques
2:30 – 3:40 art immersion w/ music
3:40 – 4:00 wrap up/closing circle

Cost: $15, children 8 & under free with a paying adult
